About this position

The Manager Production (Paper Machine) is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met efficiently and safely, and developing strategies to improve efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the manufacturing operations and strategic direction of the paper mill.
• Lead site activities to ensure that production targets and schedules are met efficiently and safely.
• Establish and direct production operations to provide products according to job schedules and customer expectations.
• Developing workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Coordinate an experienced Senior Leadership Team in setting an operational strategy for paper manufacture that supports the overall business objectives that underpins the long term success of the business.
• Ensure that manufacturing operations are carried out in a safe manner according to company HSE management systems.
• Maintain and enforce compliance to the factory management systems (such as in HSE, Security and Quality).
• Implement improvement activity where required.
• Implement improvement activity to address variances to quality cost and delivery targets.
• Champion and facilitate the adoption of lean manufacturing tools & techniques and embed a continuous improvement culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant major.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a supervisor handling paper machine.
• Well knowledge in paper making process.
• Must be able to make quick decisions and possess good judgment.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
• Willing to be placed in Karawang, West Java.
