Site Manager (Solar engineer)
About this position
The Site Manager shall provide dedicated support to the Project Manager throughout the construction, commissioning, and performance testing phases of the Solar PV Project.
Responsibilities
• Monitoring EPC contractor's activities during construction of the Project.
• Ensuring all operations comply with safety regulations, permits, and environmental standards.
• The Site Manager can perform an action or make a decision on the technical issue during the construction phase if the issue is not considered as the major issue of the Project or concerning commercial matters.
• Monitoring the EPC Contractor’s QA/QC program implementation at site.
• Verifying the completeness for each progress against percentages and milestones.
• Witnessing and verifying that site inspections are performed correctly as per approved inspection and test plan.
• Managing safety, social, and environmental issues during construction, in collaboration with the EPC contractor and the Client.
• Overseeing the EPC contractor to ensure commissioning and performance testing adhere to codes, standards, accepted practices, and project requirements.
• Witness the commissioning activities process of the Project.
• Witnessing and verifying that commissioning and performance testing are conducted correctly according to codes and standards.
• Reviewing and verifying quality control (QC) inspection documentation.
• Participating in the commissioning process and identifying any potential defects.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, M&E, Power or equivalent qualification.
• Has experience of at least 5 years of professional experience on power business. The proposed person should have been Site Manager on at least 2 solar PV plant projects.
• Good command of English.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
