The Cloud Specialist (Cloud Engineer) position involves evaluating and recommending emerging cloud technologies, proposing improvements, and maintaining cloud infrastructure while collaborating with colleagues to solve technical issues.
Responsibilities
• Evaluate and recommends emerging cloud technologies​
• Propose improvement and track and provide updates about technology trends​
• Prepare technical presentations and demonstrations any new or update cloud technologies to others​
• Consult colleagues to solving technical issues or providing technical solutions​
• Create and maintain infrastructure using infrastructure as code principles​
• Creating a plan for unique cloud solutions, documenting cloud processes and procedures, training others on cloud solutions, and remaining open to ongoing change based on the latest data​
• Designing and implementing the organization's cloud usage practices, including rules and standards​
• Evaluating and maintaining existing cloud applications in addition to handling any technical problems that arise​
• Selecting cloud services based on various significant criteria such as security best practices, compliance with your industry, and how the architecture will integrate into the organization's structure and workflows​
Requirements
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining major public cloud platforms (such as GCP, AWS, Azure)​
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes​
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration​
• Knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including virtualization, networking, storage, and security​
• Knowledge of programming and scripting skills, such as Python, Shell Script​
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, GitLab​
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills​
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills​
• Ability to prioritize tasks and coordinate the work of others​
• Able to deal and handle difficult situations and work under time constraints
