Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas
• Safely transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse or production facility
• Inspect and maintain forklift equipment, reporting any malfunctions or damage to the supervisor
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Organize and arrange materials in an efficient and orderly manner to maximize storage space
• Assist in inventory control by accurately counting and recording incoming and outgoing materials
• Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill orders and meet production deadlines
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse, including sweeping and removing debris
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Participate in training programs and stay updated on forklift operation best practices and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid forklift operator certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
• Ability to safely and efficiently operate different types of forklifts, including sit-down and stand-up models
• Proficient in reading and understanding work orders, picking tickets, and other related documents
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record inventory movements and perform basic math calculations
