Supplier Quality Development Engineer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Capture the sourcing function in choosing capable suppliers using the Strategic Supplier Quality processes.
• Management of Supplier APQP for program through delivery and approval of supplier PPAPs in alignment with program timing.
• Monitor and support selected future suppliers through the implementation of the APQP process.
• Function as a liaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve quality and delivery issues prior to launch of new product.
• Provide technical support to our customers during launch of new product.
• Develop and implement test and inspection processes for incoming materials, including all necessary validation and qualification activities by providing the processes to quality team for reviewing and filing of quality inspection records.
• Management of raw material supplier activities to support manufacturing and development. Activities include auditing, monitoring, and reporting on supplier performance.
• Conduct supplier audits, including closing out audits findings and create reports to determine proper corrective and preventative actions.
• Ensure timely resolution of supplier failure, corrective actions and preventive actions and following up of corrective actions.
• Improve Quality Management System of supplier.
Requirements
• Fluency in speaking, understanding, writing and reading English.
• Machine, Fabrication, Surface Finishing, Rubber, Plastic and Packaging processing experience.
• Extensive experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands on engineering skills, with particular emphasis on process engineering solutions.
• Complex project management from estimation to commissioning.
• Lateral thinking and prompt determination with complex engineering tasks.
• Change management, utilizing team dynamics.
• Computer literacy with an emphasis on MS Office tools.
• Lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 standards.
• Graduated in Engineering Degree.
