About this position

The Senior Project Engineer (Petrochemical & Refineries) will function as a Project Engineer or Lead Project Engineer on assigned projects, coordinating with other engineers, designers, and contractors to ensure all service aspects meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Function as Project Engineer or Lead Project Engineer on assigned projects and coordinate / facilitate with other discipline engineers, designers, and contractor personnel to deliver all required aspects of service to meet the requirement
• Execute assigned work in accordance with the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including Safety and Quality Control
• Prepare the procurement strategies and participate in the procurement processes to obtain the most appropriated suppliers to provide their materials and services, including bidder list review, technical clarification, and technical bid evaluation.
• Review the project execution schedule developed by the Cost and Planning Department to ensure that Project Engineering progress will be achieved
• Understands the technical content of Process / Utility Flow Diagrams, Engineering Flow Diagrams and, Line Lists, Equipment’s Lists and Special Piping Item Lists. Prepares and provides input to these deliverables
• Prepare and develop all essential execution plans as requested
• Manage and maintain of electronic filing system as required by the project
• Act on audit reports as required
• Carry out necessary actions for Project engineering progress problem to ensure that progress is back on track
• Ensure that all Project Engineering scope changes are properly raised and recorded to cover man - hours, costs and schedule impacts and coordinate on preparation of back up documents
• Ensure that issues between site and H.O. engineering personnel are fully effective when assigned as Field Project Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrument or related field
• Min 7 years of experience in oil and gas industry (Project Engineer role or related role). However, experience in petrochemical industry also can be proposed for consideration
• Competent to manage and supervise the team in project type work (planning, scheduling, administration etc.)
• Competent in the industry discipline engineering software such as MS project, etc.
• Familiar with Smart Plant 3D Model Review and Smart Plant P&ID is a plus
• Hardworking, proactive and possesses teamwork attitude with leadership and problem - solving skills
• Good English communication skills
• Proactive and strong leadership skills
