Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production that meets customer specifications and quality standards.
• Lead and train the quality control team on inspection and testing methods for flexible packaging products.
• Establish and oversee SOPs for all quality processes and activities.
• Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Use statistical process control (SPC) techniques to analyze quality trends and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement, manage, and review inspection, measuring, and testing of packaging products to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all quality procedures adhere to ISO, GMP, and other industry-specific standards, as well as customer specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of industry regulations, customer requirements, and emerging quality control methodologies.
• Collaborate with compliance teams to uphold regulatory and industry standards in all quality control processes.
• Investigate and analyze quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with production and engineering teams to address non-conformance issues and implement improvement plans.
• Develop and execute CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) for any quality-related issues.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality methodologies.
• Analyze quality control data and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in flexible packaging quality assurance and integrate best practices into processes.
• Prepare and present quality reports, KPIs, and metrics to senior management.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of quality inspections, certifications, audits, and other records.
• Develop and update quality documentation and inspection instructions.
• Address customer inquiries and complaints regarding product quality and implement solutions.
• Work closely with the sales, production, and technical teams to meet customer expectations and improve satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in Quality (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ Quality Auditor/Manager) preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality control within the flexible packaging or related manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes in flexible packaging.
• Proficiency with quality management tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans) and relevant software (e.g., Minitab).
• Experience with industry standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC Packaging, and GMP.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills.
