Production Planner
About this position
The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and improving production efficiency through process improvements and collaboration with various teams.
Responsibilities
Production scheduling :
• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules.
• Coordinate with production team to ensure schedules are met and adjust as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or production issues.
Capacity Planning :
• Analyze production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks.
• Work with operation team to optimize resource utilization and improve production efficiency.
Process Improvement :
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
Monitoring and Reporting :
• Track production progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Prepare and present production reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaboration :
• Work closely with operation team, material planning team, RD and quality team to ensure smooth production operations.
• Coordinate with commercial team, customer service team to align production schedules with customer requirements.
Problem solving :
• Address and resolve production issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
• Develop contingency plans to handle unexpected production challenges.
Requirements
Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years proven experiences in Production Planning or similar role within the supply chain, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies that enhance operational efficiency without over complicating processes.
• Understand of supply chain risk management strategies and regulatory requirements relevant to the manufacturing industry.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis supporting decision-making and process optimization.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, anticipate trends and make informed decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills enabling collaboration with cross functional teams, customers and suppliers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment, maintaining composure under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with organizational skills ensuring accuracy in data management and reporting.
• Proactive in finding and implementing simple, efficient improvements to processes.
