Accounting Manager
About this position
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements within the organization.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Management
Monthly Closing:
• Lead the monthly closing process, ensuring all expense entries are accurate and complete, including managing accrued expenses.
Data Collection:
• Gather expense-related data from other departments, such as payroll from HR and electricity usage from production, to ensure accurate accounting.
Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly Profit and Loss (PL) reports to reflect company performance over various periods.
• Create cash flow statements using the indirect method, collaborating with the Treasury team to ensure alignment with budgeted figures.
Compliance and Communication:
• Generate reports for the parent company, including balance sheet reconciliations and Monthly JV summaries.
• Communicate with external parties involved in accounting, such as auditors and lawyers.
VAT Reconciliation:
• Conduct monthly VAT reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Process Improvement
Identifying Improvements:
• Identify areas for enhancing the accounting processes to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve convenience.
Template Development:
• Create templates for various tasks (primarily using Excel) to streamline workflows.
System Coordination:
• Coordinate with the accounting system management team (overseas) to address any issues or limitations, using English for communication.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Having CPA or CMA license is preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in manufacturing or flexible packaging.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good command in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
