Chief Project Engineer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Project Management: Lead and execute all Engineering projects. This includes project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and supervision of contractors.
• Departmental Support: Assist the Chief Engineer (Operations) in the overall management and maintenance of all hotel facilities, including facility maintenance, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and support to the engineering team in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems.
• Energy Efficiency: Contribute to the development and implementation of energy-saving measures and initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality services.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment, with a strong emphasis on project management within the hospitality industry.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery within budget and on schedule.
• Strong technical expertise in HVAC-R, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to manage budgets, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
