About this position
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for preparing the Bill of Quantity for building systems, extracting quantities, applying unit prices, coordinating with departments, and performing other assigned tasks. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, minimum 1 year of experience in quantity surveying, proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
• Prepare the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) for building systems as required by the Procurement and Construction Departments, ensuring it is organized and suitable for use in construction.
• Extract and summarize quantities for building systems according to the BOQ prepared in Step 1, allowing the Procurement Department to use it for tendering or accurate vendor quotations.
• Apply the approved company's unit price to the BOQ with quantities from Step 2 for price approval, to be used for tender comparison and budget approval by BD.
• Extract and summarize quantities for building systems and/or review quantities and items resulting from changes during construction for approval by authorized personnel.
• Record and compile data on variations from Step 4 for adjustments in future constructions.
• Coordinate with the Procurement Department to explain the BOQ.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year in experience in quantity surveying and cost estimation for building systems (MEP).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, with preference given to those who can use BIM for quantity takeoff and cost estimation.
• Highly skilled and quick in using Excel.
• Highly responsible and punctual.
• Possess good interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Strong ability to learn and analyze.
• Able to work well under pressure and adapt to changes.
