About this position

In this position, you will drive efforts to maintain and develop Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems in accordance with relevant standards. You will be responsible for assessing and ensuring compliance with HSE legislation, as well as adhering to Alfa Laval’s HSE policies and strategies within the South East Asian region.

Responsibilities

• Ensure business compliance with local legal requirements, international standards, and Alfa Laval group directives.
• Collaborate with all levels of the business to maintain and develop a strong and positive health and safety culture that drives performance and positive work outputs.
• Harness interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and promote health and safety as a supportive and enabling function.
• Provide competent health and safety advice and support across all business areas.
• Develop and deliver internal training on key topics such as risk management and incident investigation.
• Support line management with effective end-to-end incident investigations, focusing on learning lessons and finding improvements.
• Support management in large-scale growth / change management projects, such as facility relocations and service centre outfitting.
• Maintain a visible presence, traveling to customer sites and remote locations to engage with Field Service Engineers and satellite offices.
• Champion a progressive approach to safety, looking to continuously improve processes and the health and safety management system.
• Lead external third-party health and safety audits (i.e. accreditation schemes) and supports the internal Quality Advisor and other key stakeholders.
• Assist line management in conducting risk assessments and implementing practical control measures, including cost-benefit analysis.
