Process and CI Engineer
About this position
The Process and CI Engineer at AkzoNobel is responsible for reviewing and enhancing project designs related to processes, ensuring quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness while driving improvements in manufacturing processes and product industrialization.
Responsibilities
• Be responsible, interact and review the design/ conceptual design and drawings related to process of project provided by consultant to maintain or enhance quality, HSE&S, service, and costs level.
• Work on options development and conceptual design of major projects as part of the project team.
• Be responsible for the industrialization of new products & new manufacturing processes, on a manufacturing site including transfers, MOC´S and NPI´S, continue to drive up site performance by process improvements.
• For capital projects, executes process studies, contributes to pre-project, and performs initial project scoping and in some cases business case development, working with a wider project team for preparation of User require specification (URS), Basic of design (BoD), and requirement analysis (RA) as per RANGER process for right execution, except minor projects,
• Interface with off-site functions such as R&D/marketing and central engineering for the industrialization of new products and understand them to provide the correct input to process design and safety in projects.
• Interact with operations team to understand the need and its incorporation into design.
• Interact with project licensor throughout project design phase to ensure technology/issues aligned.
• Provide right time input to consultant and review of all process related drawings.
Requirements
• Strong academic background in chemical / mechanical engineering.
• 1-3 years working experience in chemical business. With 3 years' experience in extruding/ milling / coating business, fine chemical industry.
• In depth analytical skills, had background for problem solving.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Project management background.
