Thailand is an important customer base for Airbus in the Asia-Pacific region across the company’s commercial aircraft, defence, space and helicopter product lines. With a local presence that spans over 40 years, Airbus’ footprint in Thailand also extends to a Flight Operations Services Centre and a regional helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility.

About this position

The illustrator creates and updates digital illustrations that are used in the flight operations manuals and related documents based on flight operations engineering orders, rules, and standards (validated by a Flight Ops Illustrator). He or She creates multimedia products, animation, e-learning in the flight operations perimeters (validated by Flight Ops Illustrator). He or She contributes to internal communication activities in designing and delivering effective communication to internal and external stakeholders (validated by Flight Ops Illustrator).

Responsibilities

As a Flight Ops illustrator, the main tasks and accountabilities include several of the followings:
• Creating and updating all digital illustrations, animation, e-Learning in the flight operations perimeters based on flight operations engineering orders, and related technical data defining aircraft modifications and component specifications and determine their effect on technical illustrations used for the use of pilots (FCOM, AFM, FCTM, MMEL/CDL, QRH), Ops Engineering (APD & WBM) or Cabin Crew (CCOM) (validation is required)
• Producing clear, accurate and concise Airbus Technical Data illustrations in Flight Ops
• Collaborating with flight operations teams to understand illustration requirements.
• Ensuring all illustrations follow the Flight Operations standard guidelines.
• Creating multimedia products and animation using computer-based design packages such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, After Effect, Animate, Premier Pro software (validation is required)
• Creating animated sequences and transferring animation files into a single program using HTML or by a software programmer using 'object oriented' programming languages such as Java or C++ test and adjust final programs (validation is required)
• Coordinating in a professional manner, with internal customers to promote and support organizational business interests.
He or She also contributes to support internal communication activities as follows:
• Drafting, editing, designing and delivering effective content for internal newsletters, announcements, and other communication materials (validation is required)
• Coordinating with relevant departments to gather, consolidate information for Airbus Thailand newsletters and other communications.
• Supporting the preparation of videos and presentations in response to internal requests for support or information (validation is required)
• Ensuring all communication materials following company branding standards (validation is required).

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or qualified as graphic design specialist or equivalence
• Has knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems (function, in service and architecture) and flight physics, or ability to quickly learn and understand
• Ability to work in changing environments under time pressure
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a team spirit working environment
• Communication skills (written, verbal) and customer-focused personality
• Good knowledge in Microsoft products and Office network environment
