About this position

Senior Manager, Ancillary is responsible for managing and overseeing all ancillary revenue activities across the AirAsia Thailand network, driving non-ticketing revenue growth, and developing new ancillary products. This role ensures strategic alignment with regional goals, strengthens AirAsia's brand. The Senior Manager will also focus on talent development within the department to groom future leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversea Operational Management & Revenue Growth, Strategic Planning & Execution, Performance Monitoring & Reporting, and Collaboration & Stakeholder Management to drive non-ticketing revenue growth, and developing new ancillary products
• Develop and implement strategies to increase ancillary revenue, including the creation and promotion of new products and services.
• Monitor and analyze station-specific performance to ensure accurate revenue collection and identify revenue leakage.
• Oversee and control expenses related to ancillary activities to maintain cost-efficiency.
• Develop and implement annual plans and budgets for the ancillary department.
• Conduct research to identify new revenue growth opportunities and recommend product offerings.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to management, including gap analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Serve as the key liaison between regional management, local teams, and external partners.
• Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the airline or travel industry, with a proven track record in ancillary revenue management.
• Strong expertise in driving revenue and managing a diverse range of ancillary products.
• Solid understanding of marketing strategy, product management, performance management, and budget planning.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and external partners.
• Experience in leading teams, fostering talent development, and ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify revenue growth opportunities and address performance gaps.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while managing multiple priorities.
