About this position
The Equipment Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and improving maintenance operations for machinery and equipment in an industrial factory, ensuring efficient performance and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
• Planning and Managing Maintenance Work: Plan and manage both preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure machinery and equipment operate continuously and efficiently.
• Inspecting and Evaluating Machinery Condition: Inspect and evaluate the working condition of machinery and equipment to identify issues and plan appropriate maintenance.
• Team Management: Manage the maintenance team, including training and developing staff skills to ensure efficient work performance.
• Budget Management: Control and manage the budget for maintenance tasks and monitor expenditures to maximize efficiency.
• Coordination: Coordinate with various departments within the factory, such as Production, Engineering, and Purchasing, to ensure smooth maintenance operations.
• Equipment and Spare Parts Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of necessary equipment and spare parts for maintenance tasks to ensure availability in emergencies.
• Process Improvement and Development: Propose and implement improvements to the maintenance processes to enhance efficiency.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports and analyze data related to maintenance, such as frequent repairs, causes of issues, and corrective measures.
• Safety Management: Plan and conduct safety inspections for maintenance work to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Analysis and Improvement: Analyze maintenance data to find ways to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance risks.
• Risk Management: Analyze and assess potential risks in projects and develop risk management plans.
• Progress Reporting: Prepare progress reports on projects and any arising issues for senior management.
• Infrastructure Maintenance: Plan and manage the optimization of infrastructure and machinery/equipment in the factory to ensure efficient and continuous operation.
Requirements
• Experience in Maintenance Management: At least 8 years of experience in managing maintenance work in an industrial factory, with a minimum of 5 years in senior management positions.
• Experience with Machinery Installation: Experience in overseeing the installation of machinery/equipment such as steam boilers, dryers, coolers, bucket elevators, and conveyor systems, or other related machinery is preferred.
• Skills in Maintenance Management and Budget Control: Proficient in managing maintenance tasks, planning, and controlling budgets efficiently.
• Knowledge of Maintenance Processes and Technology: In-depth knowledge and understanding of maintenance processes for machinery and equipment in industrial factories, including new technologies and industry trends.
• Understanding of Construction and Infrastructure Maintenance: Knowledge and understanding of construction processes, improvements, and maintenance of infrastructure and machinery in industrial factories.
• Effective Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate and present effectively, with strong coordination skills across various departments.
• Team Leadership and Mentoring Skills: Capability to lead and provide guidance to the maintenance team, as well as develop the skills and abilities of team members.
