Welding Engineer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Identify, prepare and issue welding procedure and coordinate with client and third party.
• Review and follow up of subcontractors welding procedures and welders certificate.
• Audit and Verification materials and welding activities.
• Monitor and control of NDT defect rate to comply with project KPI.
• Ensure that materials and welding quality are comply with project specification.
• Ensure that own work is performed according to applicable governing documents in W3 and correct IT applications.
• Ensure quality and self-check of own work performed.
• Ensure that changes to own work is handled according to the Change process.
• Contribution to continuous improvements through reporting of Non Conformances and suggestions for improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Ensure that responsibility for personnel is discharged in accordance with the company's management principles.
• Report and handle complaints and conflict.
• Reports to superior on work status and anticipate critical activities which might have an effect on project/job execution.
Requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Welding Engineer or related filed.
• Certified welding Inspector.
• Skill for preparing welding procedure specification.
• 3 years’ experience in onshore or offshore or Oil & Gas industry or related field.
• Good communication skills in English -: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
• CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2.
• Quality Management System ISO9001.
• Quality Control Fabrication and Welding Process.
• Competence in WPS and Welder Qualification Test.
• Competence to perform the tasks as per ISO 14731.
• Project Specification and NORSOK Standard.
• International standard such as AWS, ASME, ISO3834, EN1090, PED Requirement.
