Urgent! Surface Protection Supervisor / Inspector
About this position
The Surface Protection Supervisor / Inspector is responsible for supervising and controlling subcontractors in surface protection works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality plans while fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
• Supervision and Control supervisor and Subcontractor to perform the Painting, Insulation, Passive Fireproofing and Surface Protection works according to project specification, working procedure and toward KPI.
• Performs planning, allocating, and reporting daily activities, such as manpower, material, tools & equipment related to all kinds of surface protection or insulation works for the assigned project including defining and mobilizing required resources to suit project tasks level schedule.
• Set targets for your own employees, and ensure they are monitored.
• Coordinates all activities within areas of responsibility. Ensure that all deliverables are complied with project specification, quality plan.
• Prepares and maintains a positive working environment for the employees.
• Responsible for interface with other disciplines in based and project organization.
• The supervisor shall motivate their employees to have a sense of responsibility for their work and ensure that each employee is utilised within a natural work area for the employee to the extent possible.
• The supervisors shall endeavour to promote good and efficient collaboration both within their department and with other employees of the company and provide correct information about the job/project status with regard to progress, finances and quality.
• Keep your own personnel regularly informed of the company's activities and seek such information yourself from your superior.
• Give your own personnel updated job descriptions when necessary which clearly define their areas of responsibility, and check that their responsibilities are being discharged.
• Keep your own personnel informed of developments and goals.
• Ensure that responsibility for personnel is discharged in accordance with the company's management principles.
• Supervisor shall attempt to prevent complaints and conflict.
• Supervisor must be characterised by a willingness to make relevant decisions and keep their employees informed of the progress of their work and what opportunities are available.
• Supervisor must, if necessary, provide criticism, but also provide recognition when work has been executed in a good manner.
• Criticism of an employee's work or personal circumstances must be provided in a relevant, positive form and must not be given in the presence of others.
• Reports to Superior on work status and anticipate critical activities which might have an effect on project execution.
Requirements
• Diploma or bachelor's degree in any field
• More than 3 years in blasting and painting field
• Coating certificate: NACE, SSPC or Frosio is a must- Supervisor: minimum level 1- Inspector: minimum level 2 (Level is 3 is preferred)
• Onshore or offshore or Oil & Gas or related industry or Module construction background is preferred
• Competence on MS Office, MS Project
• Good command in spoken and written English
