The Senior Database Developer/DBA position at Agoda in Bangkok involves engaging in database design, data management, and database development, integrated with automated CI/CD pipelines, while collaborating closely with product teams to ensure technical excellence and meet business needs.

Responsibilities

In this Role, you’ll get to:
• Design efficient, scalable, and maintainable database architectures, schemas, and tables.
• Write optimized SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide database solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in database migrations and upgrades as needed.
• Document database designs, processes, and procedures for future reference.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Proven experience as a Database Developer/DBA with expertise in MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
• Strong knowledge of database design principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
• Understanding of data security and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
