About this position

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring legal compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, promoting safety awareness, and managing safety programs within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Legal compliance respect to SHE (Safety Health & Environment).
• Properly monitor hazardous waste handling and impact on environment as per the statutory requirement and OSHAS 18001 system.
• Promote Safety and Environment awareness.
• Accident Prevention - Accident investigation, why-why analysis and cause findings and ensure elimination of them.
• Development and implementation of safety systems and procedures and audit status.
• Systemizing safe operation and maintenance procedures to be followed in the plants.
• Communication with government, Local agency & neighboring company in SHE and Emergency control matters.
• Training up of all Operation & Maintenance staff in safety aspects as on continuous basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Environment Science, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• More than 7 years of experience in Safety Management, preferably within chemicals, food additive chemicals or manufacturing industries.
• Strong experience in hazardous materials management, handling, and storage of chemicals.
• Experience with environmental compliance and regulations related to chemicals such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA 18001, HACCP, GMP.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage safety programs, teams, and training.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams such as operations, maintenance, and environmental compliance.
• Good in English communication skills.
