About this position

The Process Engineer for Caustic Soda Production is responsible for overseeing plant operations, ensuring effective production processes, and developing subordinate skills through training.

Responsibilities

• To monitor the production team consists of field operation and DCS.
• To prepare and plan shift schedules for the supervisors, controllers and operators and to ensure that the schedule is strictly adhered.
• To ensure all log sheets are filled up by operator and kept in good conditions.
• To monitor the quality of raw materials on regular basis and to record and monitor all deviation parameters to do root cause analysis & rectification.
• To control & monitor raw materials & chemicals consumptions.
• To check all interlocks and confirm for healthiness in coordination with the instrument and production section.
• To check and confirm DCS control are available in all screens and to update the list of whatever is not available.
• To control unit consumption of raw materials as per KRAs.
• To follow and maintain ISO-9001, ISO-14001, 45001 operation procedures.
• To inform maintenance to attend equipment due to leakage or any other abnormality.
• To update PID & PFD (hard and soft copy) before any plant modification jobs.
• To give and collect data to make daily efficiency report.
• To give instructions for new plant processes.
• To generate and follow up all modification jobs for plant improvement and update the documents.
• To ensure that quality products are produced.
• To support in the Pre-commissioning and commissioning or any other new projects from the Process side.

Requirements

• To conduct internal and external trainings.
• To provide on the job and technical trainings to enhance the skills of the operators / technicians.
• To perform activities as per the company assigned work to be carried out as per schedule, instructions & guidelines.
• To give test to supervisors, controllers and operators.
