Assistant Manager-Process Engineer (Scale Up)
About this position
The Assistant Manager-Process Engineer (Scale Up) is responsible for supporting the full loops of new process development and improvement, ensuring successful scaling from laboratory to full production while collaborating with various teams to guarantee product quality and performance.
Responsibilities
• Support full loops of new process development/improvement from ideation until launch, relating to such existing technology as spray drying, crystallization, dry blending, and other new technology strategically and operationally.
• Support plant scale up, including process feasibility checks, manufacturing condition setting up, and plant trials for all new products, new raw materials, and alternative raw materials from new suppliers, as relevant (both single phosphate and blended SKUs).
• Collaborate with R&D product development to ensure that process conditions, conducted at lab scale, are in line and pragmatic for scaling up successfully.
• Support the deployment of new process/technology at the manufacturing sites before handing over to production team seamlessly.
• Support first commercial runs.
Requirements
• Bachelor or higher degree in Chemicals Engineering or Process Engineering.
• 3-5 years of experience in process engineering, particularly in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with scaling up process from the laboratory or pilot scale to full production scale.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer.
