Responsibilities
Collection Management:
• Oversee the entire collections process, from invoicing to payment.
• Develop and implement efficient collection strategies to minimize delinquency and accelerate cash flow.
• Monitor aging receivables and take proactive steps to resolve outstanding balances.
• Implement robust credit and collection policies to mitigate risk.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive collections strategy aligned with the organization’s overall financial goals.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
Team Management
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
Financial Performance
• Drive collections efforts to maximize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Implement strategies to reduce delinquency rates and accelerate collections timelines.
Risk Management
• Assess and mitigate credit risks.
• Implement robust controls to prevent fraud and errors.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure compliance.
Reporting And Analysis
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on collections performance.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Provide insights to senior management to inform decision-making.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in collections management.
• Proven track record in leading and managing high-performing teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems.
