About this position

As a Demand Planner at aCommerce, you will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels and ensuring product availability to meet customer demand. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and leverage data-driven insights to develop accurate demand forecasts. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of the e-commerce landscape.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate forecasting models based on specific industry trends and spending levels.
• Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products. Tackle demand-related concerns as soon as possible and as thoroughly as possible.
• Gather the forecasts, examine them for outliers, and then discuss and evaluate them.
• Work with customers, sales team and supply chain management to improve forecast accuracy.
• Must be in charge of the sales and operation planning and demand planning processes.
• Schedule monthly forecast meetings with all customers as required.
• Provide support in developing seasonal demand forecasts and anticipate customers reactions to the promotions and discounts.
• Address demand related queries and issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain demand planning processes and systems to improve forecasting accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
• Excellent knowledge of inventory management processes and procedures.
• Multitasking abilities in an incredibly quick environment.
• A bachelor's degree in mathematics, analytics, or engineering is required, and an MBA is preferred.
• Strong IT abilities and experience dealing with statistical tools are required.
• Demand planning experience of at least 5 years in the workforce.
