About this position

Contract Specialists assist with managing clients in a manner that maximises value for Accenture and clients. They operate in close collaboration with sales and delivery teams and provide support throughout the entire contract lifecycle including pre-award, contract delivery and closeout.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Leadership/Engagement:
• Provide contract administration support for CM processes as part of a contract management team on a specific project or account;
• Work with delivery and client counterparts to assist with day to day service delivery;
• Demonstrate the value of the contract management function with project teams; and
• Work with client contract management teams in order to understand delivery requirements.
People & Portfolio Management / Development:
• Work with offshore staff, providing oversight of day to day activities;
• Participate in the review of performance standards for junior contract management staff;
• Provide input for priority setting and performance achievement process for self and junior staff; and
• Participate in the development of training modules for contract management staff on a specific project or account.
Risk & Issue Management:
• Assist with reporting, documenting commercial and contract risks and issues, following up with contract management leads to coordinate completion of open actions;
• Escalate contractual, commercial and CM positioning matters to CM Leads in a timely and controlled fashion; and
• Assist with drafting weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in compliance with contract management processes and account delivery requirements.
Sales Support:
• Provide contract administrative support for sales teams, coordinating the document management process; and
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of Accenture's consulting, outsourcing and systems integration service offerings.
Contracting, Drafting and Negotiation:
• Assist with drafting and review of Statements of Work, Change Requests, Arrangement Letters, Contract Memorandum etc., working under the direction of a contract management lead; and
• Observe and/or participate in negotiations under the direction of account leads.
Commercial and Contract Management Processes:
• Provide day to day administration and support for contract management processes on a specific project or account;
• Assist with the development of a contract awareness programme for an account team highlighting critical contract terms and conditions and Accenture.

Requirements

• Must be capable of managing contracts and subcontracts in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws and client business requirements.
• Generally co-located with Accenture business/client units and project teams.
• Expected to maintain a high level of visibility on the account as they perform their contract management responsibilities.
• May also organise, control and direct the work activities of a team of offshore contract management professionals and other related engagement staff allocated to a business or client unit, acting as a role model for contract management staff and a trusted partner to the business.
