What does a VP Learning & Development do?

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our leadership team as the Vice President of Learning & Development. In this role, the VP will lead the development and implementation of learning and development strategies across our organization, as well as provide strategic guidance and direction to ensure our employees are leveraging the most up-to-date and innovative approaches to learning and development. The VP will lead a team of learning professionals, and will collaborate with subject matter experts and senior leaders to develop and deploy creative and effective learning solutions that drive business objectives and support our employees in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities of VP Learning & Development

1. Create and maintain a Learning and Development strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.

2. Design and develop training programs, using a variety of methods such as on-the-job training, seminars, workshops, and e-learning.

3. Lead the Learning and Development team by providing direction, guidance, and support.

4. Build and maintain relationships with internal customers and external vendors.

5. Evaluate and improve existing training programs and develop new ones to meet changing organizational needs.

6. Establish metrics and processes for measuring the effectiveness of training programs.

7. Track and analyze employee training data and provide feedback to managers.

8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to Learning and Development.

9. Stay abreast of industry developments and trends in Learning and Development.

10. Manage the Learning and Development budget.
