What does a Tax Manager do?
The Tax Manager will play a key role in our organization's financial operations by managing the preparation and filing of all required federal, state, and local tax returns. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring tax strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations. The Tax Manager will also provide tax planning and analysis to ensure the most beneficial tax treatments are utilized to minimize liabilities. Responsibilities of Tax Manager
1. Prepare and submit tax returns for corporate, partnership and individual clients.
2. Analyze and interpret tax regulations and financial statements to determine the most advantageous tax situation.
3. Develop tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing deductions and credits.
4. Research and review the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
5. Advise clients on the most effective tax strategies for their business.
6. Negotiate with government tax authorities to resolve disputes.
7. Oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision calculations for clients.
8. Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of income and expenses.
9. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
10. Provide tax advice to clients on various transaction structures and business decisions.
