What does a Tax Assistant Manager do?
The Tax Assistant Manager is responsible for providing tax advice and assistance to clients, managing and supervising staff, and assisting the Tax Manager with various projects and tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position requires a high level of technical proficiency and a working knowledge of tax laws and regulations. The Tax Assistant Manager will be expected to provide timely and accurate advice, as well as complete filing and reporting requirements. Responsibilities of Tax Assistant Manager
1. Assisting the Tax Manager in preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses.
2. Maintaining and updating the tax database with the current tax laws and regulations.
3. Developing and implementing new strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws.
4. Analysing financial records to determine the correct amount of taxes due.
5. Identifying potential tax savings opportunities and developing strategies to reduce the tax liability.
6. Researching new tax laws and regulations and providing guidance to the organization on their implications.
7. Representing the organization in audits and other tax related matters.
8. Preparing and filing quarterly and annual tax returns.
9. Developing and maintaining relationships with external tax authorities and other stakeholders.
10. Providing training and guidance to team members regarding tax preparation and filing.
