Responsibilities of Tax Accounting Deputy Manager
1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and planned tax regulations, and their impact on the accounting function.
2. Prepare and file local, state, and federal tax returns and research complex tax issues.
3. Monitor and analyze financial transactions for their tax implications.
4. Identify potential tax savings and develop strategies to minimize the tax burden.
5. Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and estimated tax payments.
6. Assist in the preparation of tax authority audits and appeals.
7. Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and internal controls.
8. Stay up to date on tax law changes, analyze their impact, and recommend tax planning strategies.
9. Serve as a key liaison with internal and external tax advisors.
10. Prepare ad-hoc reports and other special projects as needed.
