What does a Supply Chain Planning Analyst do?
The Supply Chain Planning Analyst position is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced professional looking to join an innovative and growing team. The successful candidate will be expected to ensure the accuracy of data, analyze current and past trends in supply chain operations, and develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. This position requires strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities of Supply Chain Planning Analyst
1. Develop, implement and monitor long-term supply chain planning strategies to optimize cost, service and inventory levels.
2. Analyze data to identify opportunities for supply chain improvements and cost savings.
3. Monitor supply and demand to anticipate changes in customer requirements.
4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of supply chain plans.
5. Develop, maintain and publish reports to track and analyze performance of supply chain plans.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
7. Monitor suppliers to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
8. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to optimize cost, quality and delivery.
9. Manage inventory to ensure availability of materials and products to meet customer demands.
10. Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting supply chain performance.
