What does a Sanitation Officer do?

The Sanitation Officer is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the company's facilities and premises. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role involves developing and implementing sanitation protocols, conducting regular inspections, and coordinating with cleaning staff to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. The Sanitation Officer will also be responsible for monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as needed.

Responsibilities of Sanitation Officer

• Develop and implement sanitation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address sanitation issues.
• Train and educate employees on proper sanitation practices and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors for the procurement of sanitation products and services.
• Investigate and resolve sanitation-related complaints or concerns from employees or customers.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement waste management strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to prevent and manage sanitation emergencies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sanitation to continuously improve processes.
• Prepare and present reports on sanitation performance and compliance to management.
