The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical sales support to customers and prospects, actively engaging in the sales process, and ensuring that customer requirements are met. The Sales Engineer will be a key member of the sales and marketing team and will be instrumental in helping to drive the organization's sales and revenue goals. In this role, you will work closely with the sales and product teams to develop and deliver tailored technical solutions to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities of Sales Engineer (Food, Processing & Packaging industry)
1. Develop and maintain customer relationships and provide technical support to customers.
2. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
3. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
4. Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements.
5. Develop and implement plans to promote and sell products or services.
6. Estimate costs and negotiate and prepare contracts.
7. Research and identify potential customers and develop strategies for approaching them.
8. Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
9. Prepare and submit customer activity and sales reports as required.
10. Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and new products, and provide feedback to management.
