What does a Quantity Surveyor Staff do?

The Quantity Surveyor Staff is responsible for assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing all aspects of cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement for construction projects. This role involves conducting site visits, preparing tender documents, and analyzing project costs to ensure efficient resource allocation. The Quantity Surveyor Staff will report directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor Staff

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
• Analyze and evaluate construction drawings and specifications
• Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor and control project costs, including tracking expenses and variations
• Prepare and submit progress payment claims and final accounts
• Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs
• Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing and evaluating suppliers
• Provide technical advice and support to project teams and stakeholders
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success
