What does a Quality Systems Manager do?
The Quality Systems Manager is a critical role responsible for leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS). The Quality Systems Manager will ensure quality standards are met throughout the entire organization and ensure compliance to applicable regulations. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of quality systems, practices, and procedures and be able to effectively manage processes throughout the organization. This position will require excellent problem-solving skills, organizational ability, and communication skills.
Responsibilities of Quality Systems Manager
1. Develop and implement quality systems, processes and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable standards.
2. Design and implement quality control systems to ensure product and service excellence.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
4. Monitor and audit quality systems and processes to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance.
5. Establish quality assurance initiatives and metrics to measure performance, monitor trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
6. Analyze quality data, identify root causes of quality issues, and recommend corrective action plans.
7. Develop and oversee training programs to ensure quality standards are maintained.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
9. Participate in supplier quality evaluations and strategic sourcing initiatives.
10. Monitor customer complaints and feedback, and develop strategies to address any quality issues.
