What does a Quality System Supervisor do?
The Quality System Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the quality system operations of the organization. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of quality systems, processes and procedures to ensure that customer requirements are met and the company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position requires a professional with a strong background in quality systems, with excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. The Quality System Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and consistency of the quality system, and for providing training and guidance to all staff.
Responsibilities of Quality System Supervisor
1. Oversee and ensure compliance with the organization’s quality management system, policies and procedures.
2. Monitor and review the performance of the quality system and implement improvements as needed.
3. Oversee the training and development of quality system personnel.
4. Develop auditing plans and manage the auditing process.
5. Create and maintain documents and records associated with the quality system.
6. Monitor the effectiveness of the corrective action process and ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.
7. Coordinate external audits with customers and suppliers.
8. Monitor and review supplier performance and quality systems.
9. Develop and implement quality assurance plans.
10. Monitor quality trends and recommend changes to improve operations.
