What does a Quality Control Process Engineer do?
The Quality Control Process Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all quality control processes are adhered to and that the highest standards are maintained. This position requires a deep understanding of quality control principles and processes and an ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and accurately. The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality control role. They should also have a strong knowledge of quality control metrics and management systems, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Responsibilities of Quality Control Process Engineer
1. Develop and implement quality control and assurance processes and systems to ensure product quality.
2. Monitor and analyze quality trends and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
3. Develop, maintain, and analyze statistical data and product specifications.
4. Develop and implement sampling plans, testing protocols and standard operating procedures for quality assurance.
5. Develop and lead training programs for quality control personnel.
6. Investigate customer complaints and feedback to identify root causes and develop corrective and preventative actions.
7. Maintain and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
8. Prepare and review product documentation, such as test plans, reports, certificates of analysis, and control plans.
9. Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
10. Evaluate and recommend new quality control technologies, processes and procedures.
