What does a QS Engineer do?
The QS Engineer role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality assurance services to ensure the highest quality of products and services. They will work closely with the engineering team to ensure that products meet all standards and specifications, as well as developing and implementing quality systems to ensure continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, along with experience working in a quality assurance environment.
Responsibilities of QS Engineer
1. Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure product and service quality.
2. Monitor performance of quality assurance activities and identify areas of improvement.
3. Design and oversee tests and inspections of products to ensure quality and reliability.
4. Analyze customer feedback and use to improve processes and products.
5. Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished products.
6. Develop plans to assess customer and supplier satisfaction in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
7. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
8. Supervise and mentor QA personnel in their daily activities, including training of new personnel.
9. Review and approve quality requirements for manufacturing planning, supplier purchase orders, and other technical documents.
10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all quality standards are met.
