Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role involves developing and implementing purchasing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships to optimize the company's supply chain. The Purchasing Officer will also monitor inventory levels, track market trends, and collaborate with various departments to meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities of Purchasing Officer

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships with vendors.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock to meet production and operational needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their purchasing requirements and provide guidance on procurement processes.
• Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and product availability.
• Analyze and evaluate supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and pricing, and take necessary actions to address any issues.
• Manage the purchase order process, including reviewing and approving purchase requisitions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information, and generate reports as required.
• Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to purchasing activities and ensure compliance.
