What does a Proposal Engineer do?

We are looking for an experienced Proposal Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical and commercial support to the sales staff, preparing bid documents, cost estimates and proposals, and managing the proposal process from start to finish. You will analyze customer requirements, do research, and develop solutions that meet customer expectations and needs. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities of Proposal Engineer

1. Develop detailed proposal plans for engineering projects
2. Prepare cost estimates and work schedules for proposal development
3. Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions that meet customer needs
4. Research and evaluate competitive proposals to ensure competitive advantage
5. Monitor project progress and provide timely updates on project status to stakeholders
6. Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the customer’s organization, products, and services
8. Assist in the preparation of technical presentations and responses to customer inquiries
9. Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction
10. Implement best practices in proposal engineering and management processes
