What does a Pharmacist do?

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications and providing pharmaceutical care to patients. They will collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective medication use. This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and works closely with other members of the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities of Pharmacist

• Dispensing prescription medications to patients accurately and efficiently.
• Providing counseling and advice to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and medication therapy management.
• Monitoring and evaluating patients' medication therapy to identify and resolve any medication-related problems.
• Compounding and preparing specialized medications as per physicians' prescriptions.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient medication records.
• Managing inventory and ordering medications and supplies as needed.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the pharmacy practice.
• Participating in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest advancements in pharmacy practice.
• Providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns or inquiries from patients or healthcare providers.
