What does a Payroll Associate do?
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. The Payroll Associate will be responsible for managing all payroll and tax-related activities for our organization. This position requires excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and a strong knowledge of current payroll and tax laws. The successful candidate will be able to accurately process payroll, generate payroll reports, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities of Payroll Associate
1. Process payroll for all employees and ensure accurate payment of wages and deductions.
2. Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and payments to the appropriate agencies.
3. Maintain payroll records and reports, including but not limited to timesheets, deductions, and other information.
4. Prepare and submit employee benefit reports and payments.
5. Respond to employees’ inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
6. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
7. Develop and maintain payroll process documentation and related procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
9. Assist with the preparation of auditing documents and provide payroll information to auditors.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
