What does a Organizational Development Specialist do?
The organizational development specialist position is an integral role within our organization, providing insight and support to ensure our organization is working at its highest capacity. Our ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing organizational strategies, processes, and systems. They will provide leadership, guidance, and training to staff and management in a variety of areas, including organizational structure, process improvement, change management, and organizational development. The organizational development specialist will help the organization to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness, and will be responsible for developing and implementing plans to take advantage of these opportunities. They must be creative problem solvers
Responsibilities of Organizational Development Specialist
1. Develop and implement organizational development strategies and plans to ensure efficiency and performance in the workplace.
2. Design and facilitate workshops, trainings, and other learning and development initiatives.
3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of organizational development efforts.
4. Analyze organizational structures and processes and make recommendations for improvement.
5. Conduct organizational needs assessments and devise strategies to meet those needs.
6. Provide coaching and mentoring to employees and leadership team.
7. Assist with change management initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
8. Facilitate team building activities to foster collaboration and communication.
9. Track and monitor organizational development metrics and KPIs.
10. Develop and maintain organizational development policies, procedures, and resources.
