What does a Merchandiser do?

The Merchandiser is responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies to drive sales and maximize profitability. The Merchandiser reports to the Director of Merchandising and works closely with the marketing, sales, and product development teams.

• Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify new product opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and marketing, to develop and launch new products.
• Create and maintain product assortments and pricing strategies based on market demand and competition.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to meet customer demands.
• Plan and execute promotional activities, such as sales events and product displays, to enhance brand visibility and increase sales.
• Analyze sales data and generate reports to evaluate product performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor competitor activities and pricing strategies to stay informed about market trends and maintain a competitive edge.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for product sourcing.
• Train and educate sales teams on product features, benefits, and selling techniques to maximize sales potential.
