The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all equipment and facilities within the company. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this role involves conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The Maintenance Specialist will also collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and implement preventive maintenance programs.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Specialist
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and increase efficiency.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare parts.
• Monitor and control inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
• Train and mentor junior maintenance staff on proper maintenance techniques and safety protocols.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
