We are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Officer to join our team. The Logistics Officer will be responsible for managing the logistics of our operations and ensuring the efficient, timely delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. They must possess a strong knowledge of the logistics industry and its associated processes, as well as experience in managing transport, inventory, and customer service. The Logistics Officer will be accountable for effectively overseeing all aspects of warehouse and transport operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability.

Responsibilities of Logistics Officer

1. Develop, implement and manage logistics strategies, processes and procedures.
2. Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and manage inventory levels.
3. Analyze and optimize supply chain processes.
4. Monitor transportation costs and coordinate the selection of vendors and carriers.
5. Negotiate contracts and shipping rates with vendors and carriers.
6. Report on supply chain performance metrics and prepare budget reports.
7. Manage and maintain relationships with vendors, carriers and other stakeholders.
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and international trade agreements.
9. Resolve any issues related to the supply chain, such as lost or damaged shipments.
10. Develop, implement and monitor safety and security procedures.
