What does a Legal Counsel do?

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team. The successful candidate will provide legal advice and support to the organization and its subsidiaries, and will be responsible for managing legal matters and risks. The Legal Counsel will play an integral role in the successful execution of the organization's strategies and objectives, and will be expected to use their legal expertise to identify and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate should have strong legal knowledge and experience in corporate, commercial and/or dispute resolution law. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities of Legal Counsel

1. Advise clients on legal matters and provide legal services.
2. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
3. Preparing pleadings and other legal documents for court filings.
4. Researching and analyzing legal issues, providing legal advice and guidance.
5. Representing clients in legal negotiations and court proceedings.
6. Monitoring changes in legislation and advising clients accordingly.
7. Liaising with external counsel and other legal professionals.
8. Assisting in dispute resolution and litigation management.
9. Keeping track of regulatory developments and compliance requirements.
10. Developing and implementing legal policies and procedures.
