What does a Learning & Development Specialist do?

As a Learning & Development Specialist, you will be responsible for providing learning and development opportunities for employees to grow within the company. You will create and deliver learning and development programs, track and analyze employee performance, and develop effective strategies to engage and motivate employees. You will collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment between learning and development objectives and business objectives. The successful candidate will be an experienced and creative problem solver with a passion for learning and development in the workplace.

Responsibilities of Learning & Development Specialist

1. Design and develop learning materials, including e-learning modules, train-the-trainer sessions and multimedia presentations.
2. Plan and develop training programs, workshops and other learning activities.
3. Facilitate and deliver student-centric training, both in-person and virtually.
4. Utilize instructional design and adult learning principles to develop content and materials.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs.
6. Manage the learning and development budget.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in the field of learning and development.
8. Liaise with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop solutions.
9. Manage and coordinate external training courses and providers.
10. Support the organization in achieving its learning and development objectives.
