What does a Key Account Director do?

The Key Account Director is responsible for managing and developing relationships with key clients to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales, this role involves strategic planning, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and exceed sales targets. The Key Account Director will also be responsible for negotiating contracts, resolving customer issues, and providing regular reports on account performance.

Responsibilities of Key Account Director

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
• Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets
• Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance and identify areas for improvement
• Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to management
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities
• Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with key accounts
• Monitor and analyze key account metrics to measure performance and identify areas for growth
• Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, addressing any issues or concerns in a timely manner
