What does a HSE Inspector do?

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws. You will also conduct inspections, investigate incidents, and provide training and guidance to ensure a safe working environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations. Responsibilities of HSE Inspector

1. Review and evaluate existing health, safety and environmental compliance regulations, programs and procedures.

2. Monitor and inspect work areas, operations, and equipment to ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and environmental regulations.

3. Investigate workplace incidents and accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.

4. Prepare incident/accident reports, corrective action plans and other required documentation.

5. Provide training and guidance to personnel on safety, health and environmental regulations and practices.

6. Develop, implement and administer safety, health and environmental plans, policies and procedures.

7. Prepare and maintain records and reports on safety, health and environmental activities.

8. Lead or assist with internal and external safety, health and environmental audits.

9. Maintain awareness of new regulations and best practices and recommend implementation of program improvements.

10. Participate in emergency response planning and exercises.
