What does a Health Representative do?

The Health Representative is responsible for promoting and maintaining a healthy work environment for employees. They will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement wellness programs, conduct health assessments, and provide education on health-related topics. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and works closely with the Occupational Health and Safety team.

Responsibilities of Health Representative

• Conducting health assessments and screenings for employees to identify potential health risks and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Developing and implementing health promotion programs to improve employee well-being and reduce absenteeism.
• Collaborating with management and HR teams to develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures.
• Providing health education and training sessions to employees on topics such as nutrition, stress management, and disease prevention.
• Coordinating and organizing wellness events and initiatives, such as health fairs and fitness challenges.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential health records for employees, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
• Assisting in the management of workers' compensation claims and facilitating return-to-work programs.
• Conducting ergonomic assessments and recommending adjustments to workstations to prevent musculoskeletal injuries.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure employees receive appropriate medical care and benefits.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of health programs and initiatives, and making recommendations for improvement.
